Interview
Applied online and took part of skills test. Went in to store to complete the skills test, and a few days later, I was called by the hiring manager to set up an interview. I'm going in tomorrow for my interview, and as far as I know, the hiring manager I talked to will conduct the interview. She seemed really nice on the phone, and a friend who knows her said she makes the people she interviews comfortable.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Walgreens in Feb 2009
Interview
Since I moved up from a part time store employee, my interview process may have been a bit different from someone applying for the position. I met with the store manager first, I was asked a few questions about work ethics and my ability to handle the hours involved (which is basically 8-9 hours a day, anytime between 6:30am - 11pm, with occasional overnight shifts). He gave me a brief overview of the job responsibilities, and idea as to what the pay was like, and scheduled an interview for me with the district manager. My interview with the district manager consisted of essentially a more in depth rundown of the job & it's responsibilities, but I was asked a few broad questions as to my work ethics, and asked for a few specific examples of great customer service, going above and beyond, and also an experience where I could have done better and how.

Question 1
The example of a time I could have done better in a difficult situation and how.... I was not expecting that one, but I suppose it was to show both analytical skills and show development, since in this new position I would be training people more often.
