I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Walgreens
Interview
Depending on the division and department, there will be one key interviewer. Best to go through a recruiting company to get in on a contract to hire. Not much chance for a direct hire unless you know someone who recommends you.
The HR process was pretty standard, phone screens with recruiter, phone then in person interviews. There could be more customization to the job descriptions as they can be vague. It helps to get internal referrals, as it does at most companies, but there is a decent amount of cold recruiting.

Question 1
If the role is specifically tied to analytics, its best to have specific examples at hand for how you leveraged data in your previous experience. Knowledge of the retail industry a bonus, with a level of comfortability with change. Knowledge of Walgreens recent changes in strategy are helpful as well so they know you've done your homework.
2 sessions. panel interview with the group where they just fired questions and wrote down my answers in a packet. Too formal for my taste. Not enough fluidity in the environment.
