I applied online, and after a week, I was called in for an interview. The entire interview process took about two hours (which includes waiting before and in-between interviews).
I had two 1:1 interviews: the first with the department manager of the section I was being considered for, and the second with who I believe was one of the managers (but could have possibly been another department manager). Both ladies were very friendly and charismatic, which made the whole process more enjoyable.
Before you answer questions, the manager will have you look over your information and verify everything is correct. They will also go over your availability. Afterwards, you will be asked about five situational questions per interview, each having multiple follow-up questions. ("Describe a time when ..." "How did you go about doing this?" "What procedures did you follow that helped complete it?" "What do you think were the results?" -- This is what one question might look like.) If you're honest and answer thoroughly, the interviewer probably won't ask to clarify any of the follow-ups.
Following the second interview, job duties and salaries were discussed. (I was offered $7.83/hr for a pay grade 4 job plus $0.30/hr for having worked at Wal-Mart before, for a total of $8.13/hr.) After accepting the job, I met with the wonderful Personnel associate who went over my background check and drug-testing.
