It was smooth as the questions that were asked in the interview were less technical . The questions were more HR focused & behavior oriented. Some situational questions were also asked like how would you react if you had a conflict with your colleague.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Wipro (Chennai) in Apr 2022
Interview
This was part of my college placement. First round was a multiple choice aptitude questionnaire. The questions ranged from logical reasoning to solving puzzles and ability to infer conclusions from a paragraph. Next round was a group discussion. We were given a topic to discuss and people kept adding their POVs. Final round was a technical interview where I was asked to write a simple program.
1st Round: Online Assessment
The process began with a 128-minute online test divided into three sections:
Aptitude Test:
Included logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude, and verbal ability.
Required strong time management to complete within 48 minutes.
Written Communication Test:
A 20-minute essay-writing section to assess clarity and logical structuring.
I focused on creating a concise, well-organized essay with relevant examples.
Online Programming Test:
I chose Python for the 60-minute coding round.
The first problem involved straightforward array manipulation.
The second problem was more complex, requiring dynamic programming.
I ensured my solutions passed all test cases, reflecting strong coding skills.
2nd Round: Business Discussion (Technical Interview)
This round combined technical evaluation and a conversational approach:
The interviewer started with questions about my family background, easing the initial tension.
The discussion then moved to technical topics, covering:
My academic projects, especially the Mental Health Prediction App. I explained its technology stack and model implementation.
Core concepts in OOPs, DBMS, HTML, Python, and SQL.
My skills and interests, which I linked to my coursework and practical experiences.
The interviewer shared insights into Wipro’s work culture and opportunities for freshers, making it an engaging conversation.
3rd Round: HR Discussion
This round focused on assessing my personality, aspirations, and cultural fit:
Introduction and Hobbies: I shared my love for poetry, nature walks, and music, highlighting how they balance my personal life.
Why this Job?: The HR asked why I didn’t pursue my hobbies professionally. I explained that while my hobbies enrich my personal life, my career aspirations align with my technical skills and long-term goals.
Contribution to Wipro: I emphasized my technical expertise, proactive learning, and enthusiasm for innovation as ways to add value to the organization
