I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at World Bank Group in May 2020
Interview
Applied in the early February and received interview invitation 3 months later. Went through 3 rounds online panel interviews within a month. I was promised to be informed within 1-2 weeks after the last round. However, I have been for 1 month without any updates. Then I happened to know from someone inside that they hired someone else but still no formal emails telling me that. The hiring process of the World Bank/IFC is always frustrating. Keeping your words and informing candidates timely your decision (given only few candidates can make to the last round) are not hard. Please value candidates’ efforts and time. Don’t just threw them an automatic reply 3 months after the interview saying you’re not considered.

Interview
I applied online and received an interview request 2 months later. I was also told I was one of only a handful of applicants that got onto the shortlist. The interview was via video conference. I was also asked to do a written tasks too after the interview. I still placed effort to do it properly even though I really didn't do well in the interview.

Question 1
The one question that I remembered was : "Please give me three words to describe your strengths and three words to describe your weaknesses". This question threw me out of the running for this role. I struggled to find three single words to describe myself. It was asked after being grilled about everything I've ever worked in, and every skills I possess.

Great experience, professionally handled, quick process. Multiple rounds like HR, Technical and managerial. The HR team kept me informed about timelines in advance. They were clear about the profile and took the effort to explain nuances.
