Step one was taking a long assessment that covered a variety of math skills, behavior skills, comprehension skills, etc. If you scored well, you interviewed for the department to provides services for technology guru Apple, Inc. If your score was mediocre, you interviewed for Verizon.
I landed an interview with Apple, which was on the same day of the assessment. I was brought into an office with a Mac computer. Interviewer asked me to turn on the computer and to open a word document on Pages. I was then asked to read the story on the document. It was basically a script about a customer calling a service line because he had a tech issue. I was then asked to turn off the computer. Once the screen was black, the interviewer asked me to explain what the document was about.
I was then brought before the hiring manager who laid out the job, benefits, and details, and made a job offer.
