I honestly can't recall a difficult or unexpected question. Very standard questions like "Where is an example where you lead groups of people?", "When did you fail and how did you learn or overcome it?", "How have you improved processes or been innovative?"

Describe a time where you had to handle data in a time critical situation? When have you gone against a decision made by someone in your group, how did you go about this? Describe a time when you have dealt with a difficult customer, how did you go about this? A question about trust, both gaining it yourself and trusting others. The standard, 'why Amazon' Question The maths question was based around picking packing and shipping, with packing broken down into mixed packages (consisting of 2 or more items) or single packages (one item). You were given the total output of mixed packages for the 10 hour shift (40,880) and told that this consisted of 70% or total packing. This mean that single packages were 30%. Obviously picking and packing are both 100% as everything that is picked is considered shipped on the same day. Using the pick rate (units per hour) you could break down how 102 employees would be split into the 4 functions over the shift. When going through the maths in the interview, the interviewer changed the problem slightly and said that all single packages had to be shipped in the first half of the shift (5 hours). Obviously for this, total output does not change, but workers on single packages for the first 5 hours at least needs to double. This means that for the first 5 hours the number of workers on shift in mixed is reduced, however output is simply not just halved as workers are available foe mixed packing for the second half of the shift, while no single packages are required to be packed.
