Lots of networking-specific questions, but pretty fundamental in nature. Here are some: How would you determine if a computer was on the network? What utility would show you how long it takes from one internal computer to get to another internal computer? What is DHCP? What’s the difference between a hub and a switch? What is a default gateway? How would you change a local administrator password? What utility would you use to look at Windows logs? Describe the difference between RAM and a hard drive to a non-technical user. A user calls and says that Excel keeps freezing up. Explain how you would troubleshoot.
Nothing was too difficult. They told me the wage and I told them I was looking for something else.
No difficult or unexpected questions asked. They seem to want alot of questions from you and seems you sould maybe re-asks the same questions for each interview as my answers from the interview before did not get moved up the ladder.
