The hypo was a strong arm robbery where there is only one victim/witness: a little old lady. The defendant has repeatedly said he doesn't want to take a plea. The morning of trial your only witness/victim dies. When you get to court, the defense attorney tells you that the defendant changed his mind and wanted to accept the plea. What do you do? What do you say to the judge? They also added some twists to principal hypo like what do you do if after you have accepted the defendant's plea (without disclosing that the witness has died), it comes out in the newspaper that the only witness died before trial?
