Pros

Process based Company with good higher management but not so good Local managers they just care about the company and don't know how to manage the resources well and guide or treat them .

Cons

Lower level managers are just worthless and classless ,easily can spoil anyone's dream of working in companies like ABB.. learning will affect, scope of role is not known to anyone. don't get it to it unless and untill you have other offers with better scope and package . HRs will lie a lot to convince employees to join ABB ,once you join u will get to know the reality. it's a low level managers company, no respect or scope for Technical people, they behave ruthlessly. save urself from Mental harassment Don't believe in the lies of HR team. learning wise horrible , only domain specific learnings are available. Insurance policy is very bad , no good incentives

Engineer in Robotics

Pros

Interesting work, challenging projects. Coworkers are easy to get along with.

Cons

Pay is on the lower end. Promotion opportunities are quite limited, and seem to hinge largely on who you know. Company structure values sales and marketing more than engineering. ABB Robotics is very good at squeezing out sales from existing products but is less interested in investing in innovative engineering R&D efforts. Every once in a while, management will come through and fire some people, sometimes without a clear reason, sometimes to cut costs, and other times as a way of scapegoating someone. Many very experienced people have been let go in this way. ABB has started talking a lot about how much it values Diversity and Inclusion, which is great, but I don't see anything actually happening other than panel discussions and PR. Management has also failed to deal with employees that are openly homophobic.
