Pros

The organisation has great pay and benefits. The people in the organisation are very pleasant and always willing to offer a supporting hand. The organisation does continue to keep their team motivated and there certainly is work life balance.

Cons

The culture at ALDI is very strict and not 21st century. The AMS needs to be reviewed and maybe every should be treated equally regardless of their job title. Managers need to do more rather than just be ‘people managers’. Career progression should be for anyone who’s capable to to progress rather than just focus on the Grad scheme community.

Pros

Direct coworkers are great and make the job tolerable Flexible hours and work hybrid schedule depending on job function Compensation (it's how they get you) Overall benefits are above par (although a company bonus would be nice instead of just bragging about how much money they make each quarter)

Cons

Management doesn't like to implement new processes often and when they do it takes months to even get the conversations started The "put a positive spin" on everything can get annoying at times The Pareto principle is very true here (80% of the work is done by 20% of the people) and 20% are often just burdened with more work Very hard to move up depending on the team (they tell you nothing is tenure based, but funny how every 3 years your "ready" for the next stage) Your career progression will not be shared with you. Instead you are told "we are constantly growing and the right spot for you might not even exist yet". Everything manager/director level and higher is very secretive Work load can be overwhelming at times 401(K) match is only paid out yearly, not with each pay cycle

Pros

Great experience as an executive fresh out of college. Excellent pay New Company vehicle (BMW) Great management/leadership exposure at a rapidly expanding global company. Store employees withstand and put up with a lot of mess and are very easy to get along with. Store grand openings are neat. Chance for substantial pay increase each year

Cons

If you are a servant leader and not an autocrat, this is NOT the company for you. If you are tasked with creating a “Personal Development Plan” the writing on the wall is crystal clear, your time with the company is numbered. Big advocates of nonsense, unnecessary meetings that could be sent in an email. HUGE CRT Advocates and Biden Supporters 401k is vested so you have to stay there years before you can keep their match. Absolutely horrible mentor program Very clique oriented Corporate politics, liberal nonsense, and bureaucracy. Training isn’t as great as it’s advertised. You can do a great job numbers wise but can get terminated bc your boss doesn’t like you. If you aren’t Greek life or can’t blow smoke up people’s behind, you won’t last. Have to be willing to work 80+ hour weeks No such things as “off days” You will have to hop on meetings and be on call constantly. Have to be willing to relocate on a dime with no notice. Family or religion is not a priority for them. Would rather hire and promote brats than people who could actually lead this company to great heights.
