Great Pay and ok benefits

Pros

Great Pay good benefits including comapny car with a favorable fuel expense policy. Ability to set your own schedule and some autonomy.

Cons

Back breaking work and a major commitment of your time beyond 40hrs. Encouraging the managers that work for you is challenging considering the time you require them to work and the fact that Aldi frowns upon promoting anybody from the store operations beyond store manager.

Pros

Fast pace so it doesn't feel like you are there 12-15 hours when that is what it often ends up being. They will pay well for you to turn your life over to them.

Cons

Say goodbye to your physical wellness. You will most likely not get breaks for lunch or any breaks at all so you end up eating crap or nothing at all. You are working so physically hard that you will continuously lose weight regardless of what you eat anyway. You are not properly fueling your body so your body may rapidly break down. Almost everyone has carpal tunnel- even if they don't know what all that "numbness" is. Arthritis, bone spurs, back pain, injuries, lack of nutrition, lack of sleep, lack of family/friend time will definitely be in your future if you choose this career path- do not doubt this even if you are going for the DM position. The trade off for the money is quite steep.

good work-life balance as the hours are set at 40 per week.

Cons

Everything else, especially the culture of the place, which is very degrading and there is no room for advancement unless you director lets you apply for a position within (which is near impossible).
