Work life balance

Pros

Great work-life balance, annual leaves, and nature in Austria. Colleagues are majority in their 20s-30s making it a fun environment.

Cons

If you are lucky, you have a great manager but there are many cases where young inexperienced managers create toxic teams or dont have the capabilities to manage their teams. Management and decision-making is very slow and surprisingly hierarchical. Salaries are decent in the region however are still not comparable with major cities. Living cost in Austria can be pretty high.

Not diverse

Pros

Good change management administration and hiring

Cons

Lack of diversity in leadership. Most managers have their best friend working as a director or manager. Most like will never get managing position if you are not from the German language region. Would like to see leaders from other regions. Promotions are early given if you don’t have a best friend in leadership. Not an accepting of cultures that aren’t from Europe.
