Pros

Good manual job working wage, short shift patterns, early mornings mean early finishes. Job can lead to higher positions very quickly based on performance and attendance.

Cons

Early mornings can mean 4 am starts, high hourly pick rate of 300 cases, very repetative job. very little time to socialise with other staff. No customer interaction whatsoever.

Pros

Aldi was a good company to work for overall.

Cons

The company as a whole over works its employees and incentivizes them with a large payout. As an intern, I was told I'd be working 40-50 hours a week, however, I averaged 60+. The culture wasn't there for me and I'm big on company culture. It was too stone cold for me, too much work the "play" was 2-3 "fun days" a year. You never saw your co-workers just the employees who worked for you, which you are prohibited in seeing outside of work.
