Pros

The pay is extremely fair when you start at the lower levels and health insurance and vacation time are great for what kind of job it is. Great place if you don't ever want to need a gym membership, you'll get 8 hours of sweat inducing work a day. Great people to work with if you find the right stores (mine has always had a great team and even better store manager).

Cons

You can never be promoted to a district manager while working within the company. Getting a promotion from within is extremely difficult and you have to fight tooth and nail in order to get any sort of recognition from the top. Store managers can easily work 70-80 hours a week while being aid for only 50 due to salary and all other lower positions have a pay cutoff after a certain number of years. All management above store manager have had little to no actual experience with working in a store for any extended period of time so they are completely oblivious as to how store actually work and expect miracles to be made with 3 workers on a busy Saturday night. I'm completely convinced that broken equipment never actually gets fixed and just gets sent straight back to the store in full, non-working order. There are constant issues with call offs and being understaffed on busy days and then being berated for getting out late because you still had to close the store to a decent level. Unreasonable expectations from new staff and also expecting staff to be able to train someone new without giving the hours to do so. The turnover rate has become insane lately because no one is ever trained correctly and then the issues aren't dealt with until they become widespread.
