Pros

Great pay, moved my way up for Store assistant to assistant manager, physical work, exposure to different parts of store

Cons

Long hours, in my region glass ceiling has developed, can be very negative, little amounts of praise, not a career job

Pros

Pay is fairly well, health insurance with Cigna is good and have paid holidays when store is closed.

Cons

Work extremely hard for every penny that you make. Highly turned over positions. That goes for all positions within the company from District Managers, Store Managers, Shift managers and cashiers.

Pros

Pay & Benefits are second to none

Cons

Everyone is expected to do everything, from stocking to cashiering... wouldn't be bad, but this is a high paced environment. Upper level management does not communicate effectively with employees. Management does not usually promote District Managers from within. They prefer to hire anyone with a bachelor's degree - no experience necessary. This makes it hard because they don't know ANYTHING about procedure and often come in and try to change EVERYTHING!
