Pros

Compared to most retail stores Aldi pays pretty well. The benefits are also great! You get one week vacation time and 4 personal days and 3 sick days every six months.

Cons

Aldi's is definitely a place where team work is important. If your crew is not good, you will suffer! As a shift manager the brunt of the work falls on your shoulders ( literally). This job is very physically demanding! When something in the store goes wrong it is the shift manager who is reprimanded. The cashiers are usually lazy and need to be pushed. The store managers feel there main job is to tell the shift manager to do everything except make the schedule. Be prepared to work many weekends! You will seldom get a Friday or Saturday night off!!! Most of the time your days off will be Tuesday and Thursday. You must request off atleast 3 weeks in advance or you will not get the day you need off. The store manager gives himself the best schedule. Generally Friday and Sunday off. They also predominantly open, and they are only required to close one night a week. As you can probably figure that is usually a Monday night. Therefore, the Shift manager gets stuck closing most of the time.

Pros

easy pay and work is easy to do, but some times can be challenging. I would never work for this company again, it is too much of a hassle to deal with the everday fiasco of adhering to the policies. the company has no strategic vision and lacks a game plan to progress in the 21st century grocery store retailing concept. Work is too much and pay is too little. Don't do it.

Cons

too much labor at times to deal with retail customers is a waste of time becausae of all the deamdns in place. customers get very upset easily and wan tot complain to anyone they can find.

Pros

Great pay. You will be paid for the hard work that you put in. You get to sit in a chair at the cash register.

Cons

This work is not for the weak. You will work long hours with no break or a very short one.
