Pros

-No two days are alike -Meeting lots of different people with different work ethics and learning how to use peoples strengths per store needs -understanding how retail store budgets and operates -developing associates to the stores requirements -hours go by as you will always be multitasking -must have high energy as it is very fast pace

Cons

- More thorough interview process and strict termination procedure (include ASM) -Develop an app for call offs that can easily be used for management looking for bodies when call offs occur as call offs are a weekly thing, hence my suggestion for a more thorough hiring process. Always being understaffed takes a toll on health and mental health of workers. Store cannot be up to DM/DOO standards with continuous hiring of incompetent associates who have no desire to be developed nor who understand the physical demand of the job prior to hiring. -DM are hiring just to have an able body and thus the store suffers as others have to do their work as well. -Termination procedures should be more clear and affective. -Long hours due to lack of good employees and their nonexistent work ethic. -Disrespected/threatened by employees and DM doesn’t handle situations seriously

Pros

Honestly, there wasn’t much of a pro here.

Cons

As an assistant store manager, you take on the role of everything. You are basically the store manager with little to no help. This company doesn’t give much training at all, just long hours of computer training and then sends you on to the floor. They expect you to only care about the job and not have a life outside of work.
