Pros

pay is great, benefits are great and low cost staff is usually pretty small so you easily become a family easy to move up in the company

Cons

the work / life balance can become nonexistent. we run off such a tight staff [in my case, a cashier and shift manager per shift], if one is to call out, a shift manager can end up running the store solo or end up working a double. there is little room for error. almost everything is timed very tightly [not really a con, but can be annoying on occasion]

The salary is good, but you earn every penny of it and then some. The customers are awesome.

Cons

No work/life balance . Schedule. If you are a parent be prepared to never see your children.
