Pros

Pay is good, benefits are good.

Cons

You work incredibly hard with no respect as a cashier/store associate, and the shift managers and store manager hide behind you and tell you to "smash" customers groceries so you can scan super fast. Long hours, and you have to basically work all alone, I have worked for Aldi for over a year and I have hated every minute of it.

Pros

The pay for a starting cashier is good and as long as you're willing to work hard, it's a good place to work. There's usually always something to do to keep you busy, which helps the day go by quickly.

Cons

Hours are inconsistent. Some weeks I worked over 40 hours, other weeks I was only scheduled for 20 hours (as a full-time cashier). As a result, it can be hard to create a budget for your life without knowing how many hours you'll work from week to week.

Pros

The pay is great and you get a car. You also get great benefits. This is really the only reason people work at ALDI. For most people, it is not enough to make them stay.

Cons

Labor intensive. You do the same thing every day and all the time. You do not use your brain. The leadership is just terrible and very egotistical.
