Pros

Great benefits for everyone and overtime

Cons

No personal life at all. The company doesn't care that you get hurt as long as they get what they want out of you. This is not the place to work if you have children. If you are hurt, the company does not allow you to work and will not accommodate you if you can't lift anything. An associate lost her home because this company would not allow her to work. This is not a company that cares for its employees

Pros

The pay was higher than other retail jobs, which is what drew me to Aldi for part-time work. Employees in our store got along really well, but that's unique to your location and store manager. Minimal DM interaction - likely due to being part-time, but our DM was not in that often. Store was in a nicer area, so customers were well-behaved. Depending on location, you might experience the cops in the store multiple times per week. Provides 5 uniform polos. Reimburses $3/check for safety shoes, which are required for the job.

Cons

Minimal training for day-to-day activities. Overworked employees - the organization runs so lean that employees are overworked, tired, and constantly pulled in different directions. Managers and DMs ask why employees are there so long after close, but there is no way to finish in a timely manner without additional help. Absolutely no work/life balance for PT or FT employees - FT were regularly scheduled 45+ hour weeks. Special projects from store manager require extra work hours. Your entire body ends up sore every day because of the work. Constantly moving, never a minute to stop.
