Pros

Great pay and benefits. Plenty of overtime, if that's what you're looking for.

Cons

Very hard and physical work. High over turn rate. Often terrible management and leadership.

Pros

Pay, benefits, fast-paced work environment, freedom to work as an individual or with a group, getting to work with well-priced, (mostly) ethically produced food.

Cons

Literally the worst coworkers I've ever had; 90% of the coworkers were disrespectful, judgemental, and were near exact replicas of the childish gossip-loving people I went to high school with, it's sad. The metrics you have to meet to stay employed at ALDI are incredibly demanding and difficult to maintain with the inconsiderate scheduling of this job. It is not uncommon to work 1 PM - 9 PM then 6 AM - 2 PM the next day, all the while you have to constantly lift 40+ lbs while stocking. I'm in good shape and still young, but after getting off work at this job I feel like I've aged 30 years -- with back pain, sore legs and feet, the list goes on. However this is all due to the fact that I work at one of the busiest stores in the United States, so I'm sure not all stores are this bad.

Pros

The pay is pretty good for the industry

Cons

The health insurance is terrible - it's expensive and doesn't offer very good coverage for anyone who goes to the doctor regularly It is extremely fast-paced, which is something they did not mention when they hired me. You are constantly, and I mean constantly, moving. At the store I worked in we did not receive the breaks we were told we would get when we were hired - I routinely worked 9-10 hour shifts with only one 15-20 minute break HR is totally absent. I complained about being harshly and very publicly yelled at because of a medical condition I had that caused me to have to leave the floor several times a shift and I was not given so much as an apology from management. I eventually quit because of daily verbal harassment from one of my managers - being told on a daily basis that I was too slow and wasn't trying hard enough, as well as putting up with thinly veiled cracks about my weight being the cause.
