      ALSTOM is a global company with interest in all type of markets, such boiler, turbines, trains, etc.

      Pros

      ALSTOM is centrally located in downtown area with free parking. The atmosphere at the company was feriendly with hard-working employees.

      Cons

      Due to economic downturn in the markplace, ALSTOM had to lay-off employees. Some of the employees was close to retirement and other employees was not close to retirement, which made it difficult for some. The rollcoaster ride is not good in these economic times for finnding employment and building a steady income for a family.

      Good benefits, thats about it

      Cons

      Terrible management, no focus on improvement (and lets just say their are plenty of opportunities), little communication between offices, completely ignoring efforts of employees to help make company a better place to work, selfish culture, little to no teamwork. I could go on and on and on... Do yourself a favor and don't even think about working here, you will wish you didn't.

      Global company with exposure to many different ways of thinking on signaling control systems. Develop advanced interpersonal communication and networking skills. Learn how to manage expectations of peers, upper management and subordinates.

      Cons

      Difficulties with quick and efficient project execution. Centrally controlled organization. Bureaucratic.
