      Pros

      AMD has a great culture and some of the smartest individuals in the industry.

      Cons

      Workload can be stressful at times. Recognitions are somewhat limited to design engineers since they are the money makers for the company. Other critical supporting departments are often overlooked.

      Company products are amazing. Engineers are very bright.

      Lack of leadership from the top. Firm going through job cuts within our Talent Acquisition force. Job cuts are a part of business, but it is the manner in which such cuts are done that can ruin your reputation.

      pay, benefits are decent and it's a relatively big stable company

      Cons

      I worked in the Markham office. Horrible work ethics, expectations. Sometimes, employees have to stay in the office till midnight, it's crazy. Even interns have to stay till 7-8pm especially when a project deadline is approaching. The employees at least in my team had no life outside of work so I guess they didn't mind working long hours. Working with them everyday was kinda depressing because all we talked about was work. They didn't have any hobbies, side projects or just didn't want to share. Felt very isolating to work here.
