Pros

Friendly staff that are willing to help. Good working hours for myself. Always opportunity for overtime.

Cons

Rude management. Issues you have are never resolved. You're expected to go above and beyond (and becomes expected of you even when outside of your job role), but will never receive that to help you out. Hard work goes completely unnoticed.

Pros

-A lot of genuinely nice colleagues -Double discount every 6 month

Cons

A lot heel dragging and time wasting by certain colleagues which always goes un-resolved. During my probationary period it was extended unfairly and without reason 4 days before completing it (by an extra 3 month). It took me 5 Month to have it investigated by ASDA only to be told the same excuse over and over again. They stated that it was for all employees as of December however other colleagues who started at the same time and even new colleagues do not and did not receive the probation pay reduction. Due to this i have lost several hundred pounds which i have worked for. Feeling intimidated by thieves and customers resulting in alot of nervousness from colleagues. This majorly goes un-resolved due to lack of security. I personally have been threatened several times since starting there. Management do not listen to suggestions and complaints. But would rather ignore them and hope they go away.

Pros

I worked here as a student and management were flexible and helpful in allowing me to work in different stores in my home and university towns. In general most of the colleagues I worked with were friendly and hardworking.

Cons

I had a zero hours contact for most of the time I worked at Asda, and the pay is only a little more than minimum wage. I worked at two different Asda stores and felt like there was a big gap the levels of professionalism of colleagues and general friendliness between the two stores.
