Pros

10% discount card, twice a year 20% off selected items. November discount changed to almost anything in store which is a good one. flexible shifts Cheap canteen

Cons

drivers are paid the same as everyone else. Surely driving is a skill and also a higher risk job. Management is useless, Our current manager doesn't even have a driving licence....how the hell can they have any empathy for drivers?? I have never been able to voice an opinion on anything.. The Home Shopping section is the only section that has not Voice rep.... Vans are dirty inside and out...again a managers job to sort out cleaning rotas. I could go on.... I imagine the rest of the store staff are having a good time...not so for the Home Shopping Section.

Pros

Caring & Compassionate treatment of Employees at all times with good on the job training and plenty of scope for future Job Development

Cons

Unfortunately the management don't seem to understand that in order to retain the services of the Drivers that you have invested a lot of money in via Extended training you need to pay them the going rate for the job (ie the same as other supermarkets) other wise as soon as they beeen trained they move to other supermarkets

Pros

Money isnt too bad - still for what is expected of you it isnt enough. Some friendly people.

Cons

Work life balance for managers/section leaders doesnt exist. While working nights, get paid less for overtime! Only company i know who do that. Broken from top to bottom. Inexperienced managers since restructure, discipline doesnt exist anymore. Unachievable bonus - out of your control. Good looking managers seem to get quick promotions Opportunities for progression are limited, don't get the right coaching off your managers as if they are afraid you will take their job.
