Pros

*Simple job - work does not follow you home *Goals and objectives are very clear *When the store is empty, picking items can be very satisfying, with your pick rate recording - it felt like a video game *There is friendly competition with pick rate from when I last left and people were generally nice

Cons

*Pay is minimum wage *Working with customer's in store means it is harder and slower to get orders out. Customers often interrupt or complain *Hours may change suddenly *Can be very tiring *The downside of your pick rate being recorded is that you can easily be monitored. I believe there is a graph that records your pick rate over time. *If you are feeling tired and your pick rate is below average, this is picked up but is only a problem if it is regular. *If you are consistently a high performers with high pick rate, management will tell you to hurry up even if you are picking at target pick speed
