Pros

The majority of customers were amazing and lovely to talk to. The pay was reasonable.

Cons

Honestly, if you want to feel you are in mean girls work here! The staff cliques are incredibly gossipy and awkward, they dont seem to want to welcome newcomers. Some seniors are bullies and like to push you around, if you call for a senior, be prepared to not be shown or for them to deal with it nicely, prepare to be humiliated in front of the customers. Also, be prepared for the crap break times. Being a checkout operator can be extremely boring, but the staff make it miserable as none of them actually support you, they just laugh behind your back. The manager doesn't care, asks you to come in for shifts, constantly telling you which till you are on, to be wrong and the other staff member having no idea what you're talking about. Be prepared for the staff to laugh at you behind your back and make you feel isolated and lonely. It was so miserable being here, nobody cared, often been shot on jobs that you haven't been trained for or that nobody else wants to do.
