A reasonably good place to work.

Pros

Always supported and given as much help as required, you're never left on your own by the team that works there.

Cons

ASDA tends to tread seasonal employees like puppets; you're only there when they need you there and even still, you're still a pain. They tend to call you up about a shift the next day and they don't give you enough time to check to see if you're free. The health and safety training is also not so good, you watch a load of videos and tick boxes on a sheet which contain things that you've "apparently" gone over.

Pros

Good workforce and enjoyable to work with like minded people. Shifts can be flexible and easily changed at short notice. Great for students

Cons

Lack of change in day to day role meaning the job can become quite tedious, but I only worked part time so this was not an issue

Flexible working hours for parents/students. 10% discount after 12 weeks of service. double discount events several times in the year.

Cons

30 min break on 8 hour shift, low wage, No real management structure or way to grow career wise. Management are told to always side with the customer, even if they are abusive and threatening to staff.
