Pros

Great people to work with, Hours are Flexible and the work conditions are great. 10% discount card. happy place to work. colleagues help each other out

Cons

They come down on you pretty hard for the smallest mess-ups for example if you are set 1 hour to do something and you get it done in 1 hour 5 mins. You could like me get a warning for being too slow that goes on your record. I've been working for them for 12 months and I put all my effort into the job but never gets noticed. we do have a ASDA star thing where good work is rewarded but countless times I've come out ontop of those nominated and never have I been rewarded so don't get your hopes up when your work colleagues get nominated and you don't even if you both are good

Pros

Opportunities to progress internally, great atmosphere and an all round positive feeling. Great team spirit and sense of belonging to a massive company.

Cons

Harsh results driven environment with extremely tight budgets which at times are unrealistic, some senior management have very little hands on experience, this is where ASDA sometimes lets itself down.

Pros

share save and 10% discount on my shopping are two reasons I work for asda. I have hours that suit my lifestyle that I probably would not be able to get in another job. As long as you do your job and work as a team you are preety much left alone to get on with what your doing with no hassle from managers or section leaders,

Cons

the overtime is a big problem it seems to be given to same colleagues every week they are working up to 50 hours and some of us only have contracts for few hours and have to fight for overtime and the ones that get all the overtime never seem to go on checkouts even though that's what they are supposed to be working overtime for
