Pros

4 weekly pay, can be flexible to work for, staff discount, bonus discount days if the company is hitting targets, annual bonus if your store hits target, free uniform, discounted safety shoes, Training opportunities with City & Guilds and chance to progress.

Cons

Unsympathetic managers, pressure to do the work of 2/3 colleagues on a regular basis, seemingly unfair sickness policy. "If your face fits" treatment of workloads.

Pros

If you live nearby and are physically sound then as a default position an a basic income it currently is a good bet. It is reasonable secure position but it is in a very competative niche of the retail sector.

Cons

Multi skills or greater performance are not fiscal rewarded. It is part of the Wal-Mart group and is becoming as one would expect just another clone of such companies. There is alot of 'spin' from management and don;t like honest opinions on issues of what is realistic expectations of performance.
