Pros

Some of the people you work with are really friendly and helpful. The majority of customers you deliver to are also very friendly.

Cons

Well where to start! The wages are a joke for the job you do. You might as well sit on a checkout (no offence checkout people!) and earn the same money. You are out in all sorts of conditions, battling the traffic, trying to deliver within time slots, attempting to locate house numbers in the dark... The shift patterns, for me at least, are rubbish. Friday, Saturday and Sunday every week, when there are other staff who don't seem to do any weekends or night work. Guess it depends on the length of time you've worked there? It would make more sense if it was done on some kind of rota system, then at least I'd get to spend some weekends with my kids! The management are terrible, no communication, constantly shanging my shift pattern without actually notifying or asking me. The senior management don't seem interested in even saying hello to you! All in all, I personally think it is a terrible job and I am looking to leave as soon as possible. I would recommend you think hard before accepting a job as a delivery driver at asda.

Pros

A job where thinking for yourself is openly discouraged and where doing the bare minimum at all costs is the go to for all tasks

Cons

The attitude of the people in charge causes an apathy that seeps down to the colleagues. A culture of "do as I say not as I do" is rank throughout the superiority complexed management tiers.

Pros

The people you work with day in day out make it bearable. Some really dedicated colleagues that help you along the way

Cons

Slave labour for absolutely no respect from area management over. Spending thousands on visits to impress the big bosses but strip wages everyday which affects loyal colleagues and customers shopping experience. Who's number 1? The greedy buggers who own Walmart that's who
