Pros

Working at AT&T provides good benefits, varied job opportunities and the potential of working for the same company for your entire career. If you like working in a corporate environment, where things are structured, you will like AT&T.

Cons

As a large company, AT&T functions much like a governemnt, there is a lot of beurocracy and limited movement within the company. Unless you are well connected with the higher-ups, it is difficult to change postions. I was there for 7 years and had the same job for 6 of those years. I was recruited by other departments, from the first year on and was only finally released to a different department after 6 years. Some of the lower level management has had no management training whatsoever. This is frustrating and results in employees being treated unfairly, inappropriately and/or getting incorrect advice. It also results in employees not getting developed by management, as lower level managers want thier good employees to stay put, and not grow into different positions & opportunities.

Pros

Capable management. Great working environment.

Cons

As with all other public accounting firms, long work hours and tight engagement schedules. It takes commitment to be in this field in general.

Pros

The work is flexible, if you are smart, you can complete the work in short time and enjoy your spare time, however, it depends on what kind of job you do, if you face customers, that's different.

Cons

Facing customers is tough. All the sales and management expected high customer satisfaction, so if you do the job facing customers, you are facing high pressure, sometimes impact your personal life to work for customers.
