The job supports new and existing medical devices and drugs, which is very fulfilling to be a part of bringing to market and making patients lives better. Pay is reasonable and benefits are good, although they have gotten worse over the years.

Cons

Although AbbVie is always on the best places to work ratings, there are definitely pockets within AbbVie that are better and worse. This is primarily dependent upon management micromanaging and too many "cooks in the kitchen" - and not realizing that every request for an update takes away from time actually spent on work. Finally, certain managers don't trust their employees or listen to their perspectives at these updates which leads to out of touch management not understanding the time resources it takes to get something done.
