Pros

Branding, but not in HK

Cons

Low quality management team. Only concern sales but never the expertise and domain knowledge. Even clients can see. How can we get jobs? Business outlook is back. Always recruit junior people to manage down the cost. No quality of work. Perhaps they don't even know what good or bad is.

Pros

Hardly any other than the travel miles you get to collect when you travel

Cons

Too many to summarize here but still listing down the top few: 1. Office politics is really toxic, the senior management thinks that they own the juniors like chattel, they treat the team as their personal fiefdom, open feedback and appraisal discussions in the bay itself among the entire team, uncouth language used to get their points through, promotions are totally dependent upon how well you can suck up to the seniors 2. The quality of projects is really bad, they will put you on "Pseudo-Risk management" projects which are entirely IT work in nature and sell it to the juniors as management consulting work, long projects with basically SQL,R coding work with no end dates meaning you might be stuck with the same mundane work for 2-3 years 3. The only number mattering to them is the chargeability number which contributes to the team's performance and more accurately to the variable pay and promotions of the seniors, the quality of the work doesn't matter to them 4. Yearly attrition is close to 30% which exceeds even Indian IT firms, this has led them to stop campus hiring from premium b-schools as those grads are leaving within one year and spreading the word about the team on their respective campuses, Now they are targetting lateral hires luring them with the Accenture brand name and a fat salary package 5. Almost the entire senior management has come here from Amex and therefore doesn't have a strong consulting background, which means they have non-existent project selling skills, they just beg for roles from the on-shore consulting teams and then staff the people on those opportunities disregarding the individual's career aspirations entirely 6. Once a person decides to exit the company, they will become outright rude and unhelpful to you, won't reply to your emails regarding exit formalities and procedures. The senior leadership also forces everyone to serve the full 90 days notice period even though the resignee may be on bench with no project dependency just to spite him/her and stoke their own ego 7. They are targeting headcount increase because that decides the MD,SM level promotions so they are hiring indiscriminately throughout the year without a robust pipeline just to make sure that the team size continues to grow and their promotion targets are met
