Pros

Health Benefits are good. The people that work in ACS are what makes working for Accenture a tad bit enjoyable.

Cons

Where do I begin....ACS has a lot of great, smart people. The issue is that it seems as if Accenture does not care. They layoff employees that have been working there for YEARS and tell them that there are no positions available but then turn around and hire NEW people outside of Accenture that do not have an ounce of experience in the particular field that they are hiring for. At the same time that they are doing the layoffs, you can find positions on job boards saying that they are hiring. It doesn't make any sense to me how you can tell current employees that are about to be laid off that there are no open positions available but advertise that you are hiring on job boards. Why not redeploy current employees to other positions that are knowledgeable of processes instead of hiring new employees that require more training? Yes they do redeploy SOME folks but why not redeploy most workers instead of having multiple incoming training classes full of Non Accenture people? Working here you are not able to plan anything because you are living day to day wondering if you will have a job or not. That is no way to live and what makes working at Accenture so stressful. People have mortgages to pay for, car notes, etc.

Pros

None - did not provide any work experience related to my field, instead was put on projects outside my field of expertise

Cons

- Don't care about employees. Dad dying and I could not work weekends as needed to spend time with him. Manager told me "maybe consulting is not for you and you should look for other work". I left ACN May 26 and Dad died June 3. Heartless and cold and only worried about the project - By law, I have to file US and Canadian taxes if I worked in the US. I worked in the US for part of 1 year therefore filed and as a result received a substantial Canadian return. ACN feels they are due my income tax return even though they have never paid a US or Canadian tax dollar on my behalf. They have a US Bully collection agency calling me every week demanding repayment of my return. I asked them to prove where ACN has paid any taxes on my behalf and I will gladly repay them. To date they have refused to provide this information so I have told them "let's go to court and let the courts decide" for 6 months now and to date, they only call me every week to harass me. Overall - a bully company that does not value their employees and will work you to the bone (60+ hours per week for a 4 month period), then demand your blood too in terms of your income tax refund even though they have never paid a dime of tax on your behalf.
