Pros

Good pay and decent benefits. Accenture is a company on the go so there are a lot of opportunities. Respect for the individual is supreme.

Cons

Be Billable - no one explicitly states this but Accenture at its heart is a services company and expects you to be billable on Day 1 of Week 1, ideally. At the most by Day 1 of week 2. So if you don't have a project or cannot hunt a project down quick enough, have an exit strategy.

Pros

Strong knowledge and learning culture, for better or worse. Either you’re thrown into the deep end to fend for yourself.. or you sink out.

Cons

Candidate experience upon entering is tremendous and lovely; however upon entering, many things come to light - employees are ‘invited’ to leave the firm with very questionable HR practices and documentation. Internal policies can be shot to pieces w very questionable ethics in the rush to meet KPIs and targets; Poor managers who sell and manage upwards well will continue to rise while constantly grinding on subordinates due to a poor career framework and heavily matrix-ed management/organisation structure inciting the perfect excuse not to develop their ‘pyramids’. What’s not to love?

Pros

lots of self training programs available to upskill in your personal time

Cons

incompetent team lead was either absent or blamed others for his mistakes. my first day training consisted of a tour of the building and absolutely nothing else. when i asked for more direction, i was basically told that i was doing a good job, and given no areas to improve in every monthly one-to-one session. when i got my major reviews, i was destroyed by senior management, and made to feel like i was completely worthless as an employee. when i reported all of this to my hr people manager, i was told that while his investigation proved everything that i reported to be factually true, since there was no physical evidence, the company would not be proceeding with the matter any further.
