Pros

Hopefully got my worst corporate experience out of the way early working here. They somehow make it on the best places to work list every year yet there are a lot of articles about the awful experiences people have doing this work so must have an amazing PR team.

Cons

Team leads are basically grown up babysitters who’s job it is to micromanage the people actually doing work but literally nothing else. Seriously TLs don’t know how to do anything but get paid the most good luck trying to bring up real issues they’re more interested in making friendships and givings hugs then finding solutions for how awful people feel working here. You will never get promoted if you complain to your TLs about how they never do anything managerial. Can’t tell you how many times as a woman I was told I was dramatic and to chill out when trying to address issues. If you’re a male and have outbursts it’s cool you’ll get a promotion. Everyone and I mean EVERYONE knows how terrible being employed here is but they work on replacing people not taking care of anyone good at their job. The responsibly falls on a few good people to carry a project of about 20-30 with maybe 1 person getting compensated for their effort.

Pros

Good place to learn Good benefits Technology focused - (not respected if you’re part of Technology-CDO since most is outsourced)

Cons

I hate making this about race, but I realized minorities get placed in a lower than normal progression tier and receive a lower salary. I’ve experienced teaching/leading some of my white peers who started at the same level/specialization as me on the project, later to find out I wasn’t promoted while they were. Heard similar stories with other black and brown employees. If you don’t believe me, check out the Accenture black/brown page on FishBowl.

Pros

Twice a year company organize parties

Cons

- When I applied for work in Accenture Latvia, they helped with relocation package. But in contract they say that if I was going to quit Accenture within a year, I have to return the money spent on the relocation up to ..... At first my thoughts was they will count the real costs and tell me how much money they spent on relocation, but it wasn’t. They told me that I have to return the maximum amount that is written in the contract, and there are no discussions about it. At the moment when I was leaving the company they changed the contract for the new joiners, that now they will have to wait for 2 years until they can leave without paying back the relocation package. - Promotion is very low. They created some trainings, and some of them are not related to my job , but are mandatory to finish in order to get promotion according to the policy. But in reality they give promotions to their friends, and mark for them on their side that training was done. At the time when I said I am leaving the company, they offered me promotion, even though I didn’t finish the trainings. - Quality of products are very low. There was a lot of colleagues that would have a hier level like 9 (Lead position), but at work they would have much lower knowledge than some of the middle level. It seems that managers are fine with it, as soon as they were able to push him to the client. Same is for middle level, managers are happy as soon as client doesn’t complain, and they may forget about you. - Salaries are bellow the market
