Pros

If you get on the right project I've heard it can be ok. It's somewhere where you can get a bit of experience while you wait to make your next move to a company who will treat you much better. There are some good people and I made some friends there.

Cons

Absolutely zero work-life balance. You should expect to work late nights and weekends and get shouted at when you refuse. General level of knowledge is extremely low. A lot of people are very confident and talk convincingly but when you scratch the surface they have absolutely no idea what they're talking about. When you're applying for the job, Accenture HR will tell you about how you can do anything you want and how your career is completely in your hands. You soon fine out that this is nonsense, and your career direction will be completely dictated by whichever managers want to use you to get promoted. People act like there's a huge difference between consulting and technology but really if you're performing well in technology you'll end up doing a consulting role without the salary! People have very large egos and really enjoy being in a position of power unfortunately this often leads to an intimidating and bullying work environment.

Pros

None so to speak...Except for the fact that a job here would enable you to earn a living ..

Cons

This firm will go down as one of the worst experiences for me. I now understand why Accenture requires a heavily marketed approach towards attracting talent . Dont get fooled by the clout created by this firm which promotes itself as an employer of choice. The reality is these guys will be even ready to send you to clean toilets if they re able to sell you to a client.. The term "Consulting " doesnt really hold any real meaning here as the bulk of Accenture's Consulting workforce merely does a glorified Project Management role. You will find many managers who come from non-technical background with the title of architects and if you happen to be someone who loves technology you will realize that you are being supervised by incompetent idiots with no real knowledge. PS: I have worked for well known fortune 100 technology firms and am well respected as a technology expert in my industry domain. I would like to do myself a favor and leave Accenture as soon as I can.

Pros

Looks good on your Resume Training, but it depends which workforce you are in Don't have to travel, if you dont want to if you are in "Solutions" Pay is below Average only for "Solution" Workforce

Cons

If you are in "ATS" or now it's called Solution then you'r career will go no where. Back in the days lot of people who were not even High School graduates, were put onto this workforce, but then ATS, now Solutions has raised this bar, so all Solution people are well qualified, but ATS Perception will never change. Work with a Manager from "Consulting" workforce, and see how he takes credit for every single thing you produce, if on a client project. Few people, running "Solution" workforce, will "NEVER" let you switch your workforce if you have marketable technical skills. Even though Accenture says you can switch your workforce, but if you are stuck in Solutions, then your only option is to quit Accenture. Again, per Accenture you can switch your workforce, but if you are Solutions workforce, and you have some marketable technical skills, then Solution workforce, will not let you switch. It's not going to happen. Forget it, and either stay as a second class, or leave. "Solutions" is a cheap workforce, but no will say that on your face. Only when you produce something valuable at a client side, is when you will see how people change on your face. You could realize this within first month of being hired, or some people realize this within 6 months. First two years, unless you know someone from inside, you will not be promoted, and believe it not, Solution workforce will also not give you a raise as they want to make sure that you will not leave. So, you will not get anything accept few 100 bucks for variable pay. (literally) No one will say all this to your on your face, you just have to be in it to understand it. Solutions is a cheap workforce, and this will never change. Even though are more qualified then Consultants, but since you are Solutions, no one will see past that.
