Pros
Within the Infinity Works arm of the Accenture Beast, there are some amazing Engineers, Consultants, and People, that want to do right by the clients and right by the people within IW. There is a wide range of Clients that Infinity Works works with, meaning that there genuinely is a lot of opportunity for varied work. Everyone is approachable on the IW side of the business, there isn's a single person within IW that would not be open to a one-to-one conversation and discussion.
Cons
Infinity Works is now properly part of Accenture. If you're into the Corporate approach, then you'll definitely get a good exposure to that. Many of the people focused elements of IW have sadly been replaced by impersonal 'one-size-fits-all' approaches prescribed by Accenture. More recently there has been a significant shift to a 'profits over people' mentality when it comes to the assignment of consultants to clients. The suitability of the assignment is starting to focus much more on margins and less on the needs of the client or individual. It's worth noting that this is a Corporate push from the Accenture side of things rather than a grassroots culture change. Progression opportunities within IW is generally trending negatively. Across all levels of experience, Associates, Senior Associates, Consultants, all are blocked from progression through arbitrary date-based-gates irrespective of the merits shown by the individual. The informal and individualised approach IW took prior to the ACN buyout i think is muddying the waters in ACN's Formal world. There isn't any notion of a a 'career framework' that would help people work out what is going on. ACN's tooling and systems are atrocious. You might consider this to be a minor gripe, but when you have 3 different tools for what are essentially all timesheets, tools that are riddled with bugs or just don't work, and people on ACN's side that chase you down should some obscure undocumented process not be followed perfectly using these tools, it moves from a minor gripe to a daily frustration. Possibly projecting here, but moral generally seemed to be trending downwards as well. Whilst it's an industry that frequently sees people moving laterally, IW appears to be struggling to retain the amazing people that it has. Whole teams are moving on to less corporate environments, meaning clients are put in difficult positions and having to pay a fair whack for their replacements. It puts client relationships on the back-foot whilst also making things extra difficult to the consultants that still remain.
