Pros

Allianz Life fosters a healthy workplace environment and drive employee engagement. There are great on-campus amenities such as a golf putting green, two cafeterias, pickle-ball court, gym, daycare, healthcare office, and 6 level heated parking garage. They offer great benefit packages with competitive PTO rates.

Cons

Allianz Life is a very high level company within the Annuity and Life Insurance industry, and with that come the woes of large scale, corporate America. With very high efficiency metric standards, they often neglect to look past the metrics to check on employee well-being. While they offer several great employee resource groups and events, employees in the Allianz Contact Center are discouraged from attending these events and groups in any reasonable capacity. Additionally, the wage does not accurately compensate for the amount of work and effort that employees contribute. For a $50B plus company, their wage compensation is lacking. There are other areas of the company that have much more flexibility, but the metrics and oversight of employee well-being appears to remain constant throughout the company structure.

Pros

The pay for what we do is decent, as it is under the Finance industry. The list of deals and discounts with other companies is quite large and useful. There are opportunities to move up at the company, however like most places, it is who you know that will get you a position a lot of the time.

Cons

I have become a more cynical and negative person since working here. To the point where I feel like a completely different person to who I was when I started. There have been so many errors from everyone (management, IT, inept consultants) at the company that I have lost all hope for this place, and I do not want to be around or communicate with coworkers. The IT department breaks the systems with each update that it feels like half our job is fighting what they have done over the weekend. This can last for weeks. And yes, I am writing this review as they broke the systems, not allowing me to work for the past couple of days. When new systems are implemented for the smaller teams, there are no instructions/cheat sheets on how to use them from the Project team running the integration, leaving the consultants in the dark and looking unprofessional with customers. And there's barely any communication between departments in general. To add to this, it takes years for anything to change. They are still using outdated systems (in hindsight, probably for the best as IT cannot break those) and consultants are still waiting for a way to check our rosters on our days off without having to load up our computers and wait 20 minutes for our systems to load. This was being discussed when I first started.
