Pros

You will likely be working out of your home, which can allow some flexibility, but this flexibility comes with the expectation you produce early and often. Some of the regional leaders are very good and will come out and do all day ride-alongs on appointments to help you improve.

Cons

If you are a field sales agent, you will be largely on your own to sell a somewhat complicated, and in many cases, unwanted insurance product. You will be on a draw relatively quickly and without a few big sales you will struggle. Beware of entering a market where there is already one or more established agents who will already have established relationships with brokers in the area.

Pros

Great campus, fitness center and cafe onsite are great amenities. Training was excellent, in some departments.

Cons

Corporate culture took over a bootstrap culture. Bureaucracy and importing leadership from more conservative companies changed the culture drastically from a company where employees felt like owners to a place where employees felt like numbers. Casual days drastically reduced, which was just indicative of the culture shift.

Pros

The building was really nice and things were conveniently accessible. Amazing cafeteria. Some great friends were made within my short time there. Allianz also has great benefits!

Cons

There was a lack of support from leadership. Newcomers were pushed into rushed trainings. Honestly, this has been one of the worst job I've ever worked. The company had great vision, but clients were very disrespectful. Once, I started having nightmares about clients yelling at me, I knew it was time to leave. There were minimal freedom which affected me quite a bit because I actually had to note my bathroom time. Lastly, it felt like management was more into quick calls. Quantity over quality.
