      Money to pay the bills

      Cons

      Staff overworked. Management team absolutely terrible & rude, felt a lot like being back at school. No progression. Only have their few chosen favourites to move up the ladder. A lot of delegation rather than working as a team. Toxic environment to work in. Only now working for a much better establishment do I fully appreciate how bad it was working for them.

      Pros

      Global brand and one of the largest insurers, great opportunity to be part of somewhere so powerful in the insurance industry. Good employee benefits and training. Many employees stay for years as it’s just so comfortable, like a warm bath. Innovative & dynamic it is not.

      Cons

      If you haven’t gone through the Allianz graduate programme, your chance of a promotion to managerial level is minimal, irrespective of your previous employment history & experience. Inexperienced Allianz graduates are put in managerial roles they are simply unequipped for. Allianz is a very hierarchical company, and your face must fit. Slow to keep pace with the market in terms of product innovation.
