Pros

Better pay than other companies in the same domain Provides free food Pretends to be a really cool place to work

Cons

All your issues and feedbacks will be treated as your drawbacks Senior Management has no idea why people are leaving and they are doing nothing to stop it either.

Pros

Interesting products, you can learn a lot. If you are French from Grand École you can have a very quick career development, regardless the results you will present

Cons

The workload is very different among the different departments, some are overloaded, in others people are looking movies during workn hours... Poor management, there is no reward for the results provided. Career development is just for French people or friends of other manager: if you are not in these categories you will be just their slave. No ethics: people are hired with different positions than the ones discussed during the interview. Contractors are pushed to work harder for being hired, but this is never happening

Pros

Work life balance is good. Free food (not very good although) Environment is overall good

Cons

Not a great company for people into Technology Amadeus is not really a great company for people more inclined towards technology. Developers are never much valued here. Good for people who want to gain more domain knowledge and are not much interested in what's going on in technology. It's more of a business analyst friendly company. It's just the BA's who get onsite opportunities, awards and the best hikes. Nobody's going to ask you if you are a developer. Don't be surprised to find a few people in your team who in spite of being a developer, behave more as analysts and take away the most opportunities. That's how you grow in Amadeus. No standard process for interviews They don't have any standard process for technical interviews. Anyone can interview you with what he knows. Mid to Senior Level Management is just OK Don't expect middle to senior level management to be technically good enough. Most of them just have domain knowledge skills but are not good enough with technology. But they are very good at being "DIPLOMATIC". HR department is too slow There are a couple of professionals at the top level in HR, but its' hard to deal with people at lower levels in the department. Getting an HR letter would take you 3 days, even more sometimes. If you see a gang of mid-height girls roaming around in the office with a poor dressing sense, you have just spotted the HR team of Amadeus. Food There are trials every year for vendors which end up giving contract to the worst vendor. No Retention Policy They will get people from outside at double the salary, but won't try to retain the leaving employees. Early Joiners Dominate People who joined Amadeus in initial days at Bangalore are the one dominating the office. These are the only people who get valued here. It's hard for the new people to move forward. You can often find this dominating class throwing away jokes and people laughing around, even on the poorest of jokes (you know why, it's the same everywhere). Don't expect much recognition Recognition is a big issue here. Even after having a number of discussions with HR and directors, it's still the same. The most they do is give you a 1000 point pat on the back award once in 2 years and don't think that's only because you did some good work. It's given to mostly everyone around you. People close to managers get the higher Spot Award. A piece of advice to anybody joining Amadeus Work less show more. EMAIL is the key to success here. I would recommend doing some good online course on Email communication. Good to send emails after 12 in the night (it really matters!!). The people who actually work get rarely recommended. Know your project status well - who is doing what, communicate well with the clients. Code quality does not matter. Going away with a few or no code issues means you were doing something very easy. So have some issues added deliberately.
