Pros

+ High Growth Culture + Rapid Soft and Hard Skill Development Great career start, can learn skills 10x faster than a regular company. Amazon is truly a fast-pace environment.

Cons

Poor work/life balance. If you want to grow and promote quickly, working on weekends is necessary to stay ahead and be top of your peer group for promotion. It's a great career for a single person starting their career. Long hours/shifting schedules makes it difficult when prioritizing family. Also, your team is everything - depends on luck if you come into a building with great teammates.

Pros

Opportunity to succeed and make an impact on other people

Cons

Associates can be a challenge to hold accountable. Amazon's policies seem to assume the associate is always right leaving managers to feel undervalued and unsupported by the systems in place.
