Pros

Very few companies let you work on the scale that Amazon does. Most people are really smart. Some of the teams like Alexa and some parts of AWS are doing real innovation which will be hard to find in any other company. Some of these are really making customer's life better and can be quite satisfying to work on.

Cons

It is a hit or a miss which team you land up in and that can have a big impact on your career. Annual review and compensation model are really weird, and not very transparent at the time of the offer. If you are unlucky, management targets to "fit a curve" can force your manager to make your life miserable.
