Pros

- Many different groups to work for (hardware, software, front end, back end) - Dive deep philosophy makes folks learn a lot - Metrics on everything means smart decisions are made - Leadership principles are a great way to have employees focus on the right things

Cons

- Some groups can be tough to work for (lots of overtime, unforgiving managers) - Frugality can be a bit overboard - Salary is capped - Amazon uses total compensation which include stocks

Pros

* The compensation is very good. * It doesn't lack in opportunities. People use this to move around a ton. * The company has great job stability because it's been growing for so many years.

Cons

* It's hard to keep the work life balance in check. * Engineers are asked to work insane amounts of hours. * Aggressive management tactics to manage individuals out of the company. * Low movement in upper management because they don't get managed out even when they are poor performers.
