Pros

Incredible emphasis on learning, leadership, and bias for action to move the needle in the right direct and move it quickly. Always open to change systems even when they are legacy based, meaning huge opportunity to consistently make an impact.

Cons

Intense - they say 1 year in Amazon is like 7 years outside. While its an exaggeration, there is an element of truth to it. The layoffs and cost cutting, while great for longevity of business, isn't being accompanied by a comprehensive review of activities that are true value generators, meaning Amazon is losing some of the mobility and startup mindset through an overemphasis on admin and systems that do not sync with the big thinking goal.
