Pros

Amazon is encouraging. Encouraging of innovation, creativity, trying new ways to better the business. It is challenging and fast-paced, with very little hand-holding. This kind of environment is not for everyone but is perfect for me.

Cons

No one is going to tell you that you're doing a great job, you have to be ok with that.

Pros

Great place to start out a career. They give you a lot of responsibility so there are a lot of opportunities to make an impact and use these experiences for later career moves. Pay is good but you will earn every penny.

Cons

Lots of overtime. They will promote a 4 day (12 hrs per day) workweek but we were always short staffed so OT was always on. Management has to come in for OT but we end up just being idle bodies. The idea is to work on projects but by the time that fifth night shift of the week rolls around youre just beat.

Pros

Compensation is good Career growth It's challenging work, but rewarding

Cons

Choices of where to save money don't always seem to make the most sense You can get left out on your own for days, weeks, months at a time. Just be prepared to work through it
