Pros

I really enjoy the team that I am working on at Amazon. I feel like there is a strong commitment for my long-term success at this company. I appreciate that the Leadership Principals give us a clear North Star to align to. On the outside looking in at a company the size of Amazon it can seem daunting, but once you are inside the company it doesn't feel quite as large. I appreciate that I can have an impact on a company this size.

Cons

There is a lot of information to consume if you are a new to Amazon. The culture can be very matter-of-fact. People really want to get to the point and be done with a meeting. As a newcomer that makes it feel like you are getting a thousand snapshots of things, and you have to work hard to stitch together the bigger picture sometimes. There a lot of redundant internal tools and each team uses them differently. People want to make an impact with big changes, but sometimes they ignore the smaller things that can have a big impact long term.
